The 3 Pivot Conditions
Chapter 14 defines three conditions you should evaluate during every AI dialog session. When a condition fails, that’s your signal to pivot — change your approach rather than repeating what isn’t working.
1. Direction Is the conversation moving toward your goal, or has it drifted?
2. Quality Is the output quality acceptable, or declining with each turn?
3. Efficiency Are you making progress per turn, or spinning in circles?
Think of 5 recent AI sessions and rate each one. Honest assessment reveals your blind spots.
